How to End a Story
Don’t you just love a good story ending! What is a good story ending? That’s what we’re going to discuss at this next meeting.
Please bring a notebook and pen or pencil with you, and if you can, bring a printed copy of the Handout to read and discuss at the meeting. Contact me if you need a password.
The Challenge
After this meeting is finished, and before our next meeting on April 14th your challenge will be to take a look at a story that you have written at some point in the past; or write a new story. Don’t tell us the whole story, just give us a one-paragraph synopsis of your story. The Challenge is to decide what is, or would be, an appropriate ending for this story, and share that with us; and then can you share your reasoning for using this type of an ending?
Responses to this Challenge will be posted here, below, to share it with the rest of our members. Also, you will be invited to read your response to this Challenge at the next meeting’s discussion on April 14th.
