That\u2019s the power of a stellar first chapter. It\u2019s a story\u2019s promise that you\u2019re about to embark on something worth your time, your emotions, maybe even your sanity.&nbsp;? That\u2019s what we&#8217;re going to discuss at this meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please bring a notebook and pen or pencil with you, bring a printed copy of the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thethirdhouse.ca\/TheNook\/content\/handouts\/2026\/2026-02-09.pdf\">Handout<\/a>&nbsp;to read and discuss at the meeting, and if you can, bring a printed copy of these pages that we\u2018ve collected (below), to read and discuss at the meeting. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thethirdhouse.ca\/contact\/joyce.php\">Contact me<\/a> if you need a password.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The Challenge<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Between after this meeting is finished, and before our next meeting on April 14th your challenge will be to&nbsp;take a look at a story that you have written at some point in the past; or write a new story. Don&#8217;t tell us the whole story, just give us a one-paragraph synopsis of your story.&nbsp;<strong>The Challenge<\/strong>&nbsp;is to decide what&nbsp;is, or&nbsp;would be,&nbsp;an appropriate ending for this&nbsp;story, and&nbsp;share&nbsp;that&nbsp;with us; and&nbsp;then can you share&nbsp;your reasoning for using this type of an ending?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Responses<\/strong>&nbsp;to this Challenge, if you choose to share them, will be posted here, below, to share it with the rest of our members.
