What we do here
In his book, If This Isn't Nice, What Is?: Advice for the Young, Kurt Vonnegut said “We have to continually be jumping off cliffs and developing our wings on the way down.”
Where do artists find the chutzpah to go off on their own merry way, disregarding rules that have been carved in stone to make their own frivolous way through the woods? Where do the creative spirits come from that compel us to do this? What is the creative process? On the other hand, why ask? Why would we want to demystify it? It’s something that just happens if we let it. It happens when we put the distractions and the hustle and bustle of our daily lives on hold and grant the things that give us the most joy and delight — like, say, our creative abilities — free rein to follow their own path.
Our goal here at The Third House is to foster this type of creativity. We are accomplishing this is through a quasi logically intuitive process and to date, here are some of the ways that we have found to do this:
