All writers welcome; there is no charge.

Our Focus: The Writers’ Nook is a place where we, as a group, can provide a safe and positive environment in which to encourage one another and hone our own writing skills.

Our meetings are theme-based, informative and interactive. Work is shared, reviewed and discussed. Constructive feedback is provided if the writer is willing. Membership is open; all writers are welcome.

Do you write? Many of us do. When we write, as with all the arts, we are simply responding to an inner urge — our senses are sharp, alive, resonating with the excitement of creating this thing we are working on. We write because the creative juices are flowing; maybe we have a story to tell. Maybe we want to make a name for ourselves or change the world. Sometimes, it’s simply to discover meaning in the world around us. Our reasons for writing are as varied as the people writing. Regardless of what your reason is — would you like to join a writers’ group?

Why join? Most importantly, the greatest benefit for writers comes from putting your work in front of other people. As writers, we tend to be shy and withdrawn about our writing, and asking other writers to read and critique it can be terrifying at first. But feedback is valuable. It pushes you to see your work from an outside perspective. This is a huge key to development. A writer’s group is a safe place in which to hone your skills, sound out your ideas, and find support amongst other individuals. Come join us!

Come join us!
